The details travel with the receipt
Each receipt is saved as a normal JPEG picture with its financial details stored inside the file. The picture and the numbers are never separated, so Excel, accounting tools and AI assistants can read the figures straight from the file.
What it does
Scan or share
Scan paper receipts with the camera, a whole pile at once, or share PDFs and photos from Mail, Photos and Files.
Read on your iPhone
Merchant, date, total, net and VAT are read on the device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
File by property
Each property or project has its own folder in your iCloud Drive. Rules file the same shop the same way every time.
Catch mistakes
Flags VAT that doesn't add up, possible duplicates and receipts with missing details.
Totals and VAT quarters
Spend and UK VAT by property, VAT quarter or dates, and export to a spreadsheet for your accountant.
Private by design
No account, no adverts, no tracking. Your receipts stay on your iPhone or in your own iCloud Drive.
Good to know
Reading is most accurate on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. On other iPhones, River Tally uses Apple's built-in text recognition, so check the details before saving.
River Tally is a record-keeping tool and doesn't give tax advice. Check your figures with your accountant before submitting a VAT return.
